Completion of disposal of Animal Feed Business, including stevedoring subsidiary, to Fane Valley Co-Operative Society Limited
Further to the announcement of 3 July 2019 the Board of Donegal Investment Group plc ("Donegal” or the “Company”) wishes to announce that approval has been granted by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission for the proposed sale of its animal feed business, Robert Smyth & Sons Limited (“Smyths”) and its subsidiary companies, including Burke Shipping Services Limited (“Burkes”), (together the “Businesses”) to Fane Valley Co-Operative Society Limited (“Fane Valley”) (the “Proposed Transaction”).
As such the Board of Donegal can confirm that the Proposed Transaction completed after close of business yesterday, 22 August.
